Are you an active duty or retired service member experiencing symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTS)?

A new online study is testing the effectiveness of Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) to help military service members with PTS. We know that in-person therapy sessions aren’t always possible. This study has an option to participate 100% online. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please contact us at                  301-412-8187 or recontrol@usuhs.edu

What does participation involve?

  • Baseline assessment (~3.5 hours)
  • Up to ten 90-minute sessions of either PE or RTM with a trained therapist
  • Follow-up visits 2, 6 and 12 months after intervention (~3 hours each)
  • Compensation may be provided to eligible participants
